Startup Checklist - A To Do List For a Would-Be Licensed Food Delivery Service Operator

Before embarking on the food delivery service business venture, here's a quick list of things and activities to check and double check before becoming an official food delivery service business owner.

1. Research, come up with a list and decide which restaurants and how many restaurants would make up your food delivery menu.

2. Determine if you'll deliver full time (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or just part-time (4 hours or less per day.)

3. Determine whether you would need to add employees, Petmate fresh flow or just hire contractual individuals to handle calls (orders) and deliveries.

4. Decide on where your food delivery service business would be located.

5. Consult an accountant regarding appropriate business structure of your business.

6. Get an attorney to help you accomplish necessary paperworks and legalities needed.

7. Make an estimation of your monthly expenses once the business is set up and the projected cash flow each month.

8.Make a break-even analysis to determine the length of time you need to get a return of investment (ROI).

9. Setup a business bank account.

10. Have a business phone set up.

11. Check and purchase all the necessary equipment (eg. Computer, printer)

12. Setup a business website. You may hire a professional website designer or you can create simple HTML sites or use platforms like WordPress or Joomla to create your own.

13. Hire a graphic designer for the menu guide, your business card, marketing materials (eg. Leaflet, brochures etc)
